QB Jake Farrell (Scottsdale, AZ) threw for 345 yards and 4 TD’s in a rout of the Golden Bears JV team in Springfield, MA on September 15th. The Firebird’s offense accumulated 470 total yards in an impressive performance to go along with 7 total touchdown’s as a team. WR Jacari Carter (Sayerville, NJ) enjoyed a spectacular day with 9 catches, 135 yards, and 3 TD’s. RB Tawee Walker (Peoria, AZ) was once again solid on the day with over 100 all-purpose yards and 2 rushing touchdowns.
The Firebirds’ defense got on the board first with an interception returned for a touchdown by DB Jonathan Cabral-Martin (Lynbrook, NY) to give East Coast Prep a 7-0 lead early in the 1st quarter. Dylan Urbanowski (Willow Grove, PA) led the defense with 10 total tackles, 2 TFL’s, 2 sacks, and 1 forced fumble. The defense was once again impressive holding the Golden Bears to just 41 yards rushing and less than 200 total yards of offense. Kicker, Lliam Davis (Johannesburg, South Africa) enjoyed a strong performance converting 6 out of 6 PAT’s to go along with a 35 and 44 yard made FG.
