RB Tawee Walker (Peoria, AZ) rushed 140 yards and 2 TD’s in a 54-14 victory vs. ASA College in Brooklyn, NY on September 22nd. The Firebirds’ offense accumulated 428 yards of total offense to go along with 7 total TD’s on the day. QB Jake Farrell (Scottsdale, AZ) went 20-29 for 168 yards passing, 2 TD’s and 1 rushing TD on the day. RB Jaylan Gonzalez (Melbourne, FL) contributed 43 yards rushing and 2 TD’s Sunday night. WR Jahmiq Johnson (Plainsboro, NJ) had two catches for 40 yards and 1 TD on the night.
The Firebirds’ defense was lead by an outstanding performance from LB Dylan Urbanowski (Willow Grove, PA). He had 9 tackles, 2 TFL’s, 1 Sack, and 1 INT on the day. DE Jamal Jones (Largo, MD) once again delivered a strong performance with 5 tackles and 3 TFL’s on the day. The defense held the opposing offense to a mere 12 yards rushing and less than 160 total yards on the day. Kicker Lliam Davis (Johannesburg, South Africa) knocked down a 31 and 41 yard FG on the day. The Firebirds’ victory improves the team to 3-0 on the year.
