East Coast Prep held Norwich to -14 rushing yards in a convincing 27-12 victory over the Cadet’s JV team in Northfield, Vermont on September, 8th. The Firebirds were lead on defense by DE Jamal Jones (Largo, MD) with 8 total tackles, 2 TFL’s, and 1.5 sacks. Tim Franklin (Washington, MO) helped pave the way on the defensive line with 5 total tackles, 2 TFL’s, and 1 sack.
The offense was led by WR Jahmiq Johnson (Plainsboro, NJ) who had 4 catches for 88 yards, and a spectacular 3 TD’s in his first career game at East Coast Prep. QB Jake Farrell (Scottsdale, AZ) threw for 230 yards and 3 TD’s in his first game under center for the Firebirds. RB Tawee Walker (Peoria, AZ) finished out the scoring on the day with his one rushing touchdown to go along with 77 yards rushing on the day.
